Supplying corten steel sheets to meet the bespoke requirements of a modular home build

Situation
Boutique Modern is a modular buildings manufacturer which prides itself on delivering high quality, sustainable housing. The company embraces modern methods of construction with the aim to ensure everyone has access to quality, affordable homes whilst responding to local needs.
Boutique Modern was instructed to design a modular home with a living finish. To achieve this aesthetic, the team wanted to combine Corten steel sheets and larch timber to clad the building’s exterior.
This would enable a contrasting finish to be achieved over time through weathering, with the Corten developing a rich orange patina and larch timber turning a more subtle oyster grey.
As such, Boutique Modern required a supplier of Corten steel sheets that could provide the material to meet the exact requirements of this modular home.
Response
Boutique Modern approached The Metal Store to supply all the Corten steel sheets for the exterior panelling of the house.

Additional pieces of Corten were also needed to line window reveals and complete the chimney, which we were able to cut and supply without any hassle.
