How many cuts do I get FREE of charge?
There is no charge for cutting on our lengths or sheet* (straight cuts only no shapes or cut outs.). *We can cut galvanised and mild steel walkway, but this will be dependant on the exact requirements, and this will be chargable. We do not cut corrugated sheet, so these are only sold in the sizes shown
What is used to cut lengths and sheets?
Depending on the job we will cut lengths on our band saws, bundle saw or CNC machines. All sheets are cut on a guillotine.
You can use our bespoke cutting tools on available across most of our pages for lengths and sheet material (where available). In a small number of instances, you may be asked to enter your instructions on the shopping cart page when prompted.

We work to a tolerance of plus or minus 1mm

We do not cut metal lengths down the width of the length
The FREE cutting service does not include cut outs, shapes or curved profiles. Contact us on [email protected] and we will be happy to quote you for these requirements. Please include drawings, dimensions and any angles.
Please note that we are unable to provide you with structural calculations and would recommend you contact a suitably qualified person if you require this service. The Metal Store will not accept any liability for any loss or damage including without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from the use of our cutting service and the use and fitting of any of our products. This is entirely at the customer's own risk.
Profile Cutting
Profile cutting on Mild Steel Sheets and Plate from 1mm to 180mm thick. Profile cutting works on a tolerance of plus or minus 1mm. There is a turnaround time of 5 to 7 working days for this service.
